Access to NBO Services > Eligibility
In the context of its priority sectors, NBO works with a broad range of exporting enterprises capable of taking advantage of U.S. market opportunities. However, not all firms possess the technical, financial and managerial capabilities to enter the competitive U.S. market, immediately or even in the near term. Thus, NBO focuses its efforts on exporting enterprises that are relatively better-prepared to benefit from U.S. market opportunities. To this end, NBO has devised a plan to select exporting enterprises through an objective and transparent manner. A Monitoring Committee comprised of members from Sector Associations, USAID, MICMAN, ANPME, CMPE, ASMEX and NBO, is responsible for screening and selecting participating enterprises in the NBO program. Exporting enterprises will be added and graduated from NBO’s active client list on an annual basis throughout the life of the program.
All enterprises interested in benefiting from NBO’s services must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered exporting company in accordance with Moroccan law, and operating in a targeted industrial sector;
- Wishes to export to the American market and has the material, financial and human capacity to do so;
- Currently exports merchandise products;
- Has prior exporting experience;
- Is in conformity with the rules of the Morocco-U.S. FTA concerning intellectual property, child labor, environmental protection, etc;
- Is ready to undertake the preparation and implementation of a “U.S. Export Action Plan” (USPAEx).
